Best use I've seen for Bud Light in quite some time. Stuff has no taste (IMHO). BL is usually my go to for light beer but I’m not really beholden to anything. I really like Zadie’s lager out of Union Brewing. Local beer and great summer drinker. My last two kegs were Zadie’s and I’m about to order another. Kegs? You have one of those keg-erators?

Kegs? You have one of those keg-erators? Yessir. Dang. And my wife gives me the hairy eyeball if I bring home two 18 packs. How long can it 'hold' in one of those things without going flat .... skunky?

I like craft beer, but my go to is Miller Lite. Bud/Bud Light is horrible. Miller Lite is my go-to when boating. Back at the docks I'll drink something a little rougher

Bud/Bud Light is the worst of the worst so expanding advertising is really the only thing they have left. Lemme guess you're an IPA guy. West Coast or New England? Zac Brown Band... Toes "I've got my ass in a lawn chair Toes in the clay Not a worry in the world a PBR on the way Life is good today. Life is good today."

Elvis used to shoot his television whenever he saw Robert Goulet on it. I dislike waste because energy and resources went into producing what's wasted. I think people who waste things are irresponsible. But there is a lot of that and I sure can't stop it all...

Thanks! Just curious, again. Is the keq a 1/4 or whatever. I’ve had all sizes. Sixtels, quarters and half barrels. Damn dude. I am going to have to do some recalculating cost regarding cans vs a keg. IMHO, bad beer in a keg is better than most good beer in a can. I used to homebrew ALOT. Then life set in. 😣😥 I have to brag here a bit. But, most people make homebrew beer and people drink it and smile and poured it out. Mine on the other hand, people were disappointed that I didn't bring any to a picnic. 😀

It’s really about have draft beer in your house vs cans or bottles. There may be a slight cost savings for keg but it’s not much. Not as much as it should be. And there is no waste.

I've noticed a lot more gay couples in ads for this and that lately. Chris Rock had a funny joke about interracial couples in commercials on his last stand-up special. Makes business sense for more companies to feature under-represented people in ads. Especially if they want their product or service to appeal to all sectors of the market. All the cries about companies going "woke" are cries about capitalism. These companies really only care about money. Trans dollars are worth as much as gay dollars are worth as much as redneck dollars. This IS NOT meant to be a snide or disparaging remark. Just an observation. What you are saying is true. But, according to the census bureau only about 1% the population is a gay couple. So why is it, when I watch the afternoon news. Something like 50% or more of the ads portray gay couples as of late. Kinda overkill .... no? Its a push to normalize it and make it acceptable. If you see it enough times you accept it.

What someone wants to do with their own life is none of your business or anyone else's.

What someone wants to do with their own life is none of your business or anyone else's. It was pushed after complaints of not enough different races in ads. Just like the complaints at the Oscars each year. How do you maximize profits from a small percentage of population that likely don't care for your product anyway. I don't care what other people do. Its the push to make people feel its normal when its a very small percentage of the population.

Companies are adjusting their campaigns to appeal to those demos.

There's not much, short of breaking serious laws, that would inspire me to get so angry about a company doing X that I boycott their product much less shoot it up in an Instagram video.

Minorities were previously very unrepresented. Minorities spend money on products. Companies are adjusting their campaigns to appeal to those demos. Oh please. Minorities haven't been underrepresented in the media in decades. Well except for Asians. They are still underrepresented. Wrong minority - nobody seems to care about them. If minorities were already spending money on products, then why the need to over-represent them? Also, what kind of marketing savvy would that be? It really makes little sense from a marketing standpoint to overrepresent any demographic, unless that demographic was significant in size, and underperforming in sales - which I highly, highly doubt is the case.

Agree on Asians but going off of nothing but a hunch. I'd like to see the data. Check this article out. It actually goes against what we are both saying has happened in relation to more diversity in advertising. www.forbes.com/sites/jaredcouncil/2023/01/26/after-vows-of-more-diversity-tv-commercials-and-digital-ads-are-getting-whiter-survey-says/?sh=3b2af47a394c

While non-Hispanic white people comprise 59% of the U.S. population, white actors accounted for 72.5% of people who appeared in TV and digital video ads in 2022, according to a study by Extreme Reach, a global marketing logistics company. That marks an increase in white actors from 65.6% in 2021. I'd seriously question that study's accuracy. Nobody I know would agree with those numbers. Also, the study uses a little slight of hand to try and make a point. It mentions white, non-hispanic to get it's 59% figure, but then just says "white" to get it's 72% actor figure - which is more in-line with overall population demographics, when white-hispanic is factored back in.

Highly unlikely this moves the needle for their bottom line. This is more "outrage" from the right that ends with their whining.

Minorities, gays and trans people exist in the real world so why wouldn't they exist in commercials and TV shows?
