Sounds like she'll probably (deservedly) lose her job. She just cost the company 6 billion dollars in a span of five days. There seems to be a decent amount of executives making decisions based on what they want for the company rather than what would actually be good for the company.

I'm just an older Millennial who doesn't drink that kind of beer so I couldn't care less about Bud Light. I just find the controversy interesting from a Marketing standpoint. That right there is the core of the problem with Dylan Mulvaney promoting Bud Light. YOU were the target audience for this. Younger. Diverse. And wouldn't ever touch Bud Light. Bud Light doesn't know what it is anymore. It's a cheap budget beer for people who want to get drunk more than they want to enjoy beer. Ie: frat boys and rednecks. If affluent woke people drink beer at all, it's going to be a locally-sourced, sustainable, micro-brew that they flaunt in front of former Bud Light drinkers.

I don't believe this for a second. You don't make special cans (even in small numbers) without buy-in from the exec staff. This is out of touch people who should have known better buck-passing.

Bud Light is my go-to for light beer during games or cookouts when I'm going to have more than a few. I also drink a lot of Miller Lite as well. That hasn't changed and people can think whatever they want when I order one. I also have a keg of Zadie's from Union ready for pick-up. I was always more of a Lite guy for hot days. My best golfing buddy is Bud Light so we always go back a forth. A mutual friend freaked out when my friend ordered his Bud Light and was heckled down as a qnut

So a friend was in central Florida recently and orders a Budweiser at a bar. He's not into politics and doensn't know about the recent story about Bud Light. Instantly, he is heckled, with someone shouting "Good choice, prettyboy!" From across the bar. My friend confronted the heckler, and the heckler's father had to calm down the situation. People are literally losing their damn minds over this but I imagine most people living in Florida lost their minds years ago. Most people who live in Florida are not originally from Florida. Most are from the Northeast. They brought that attitude with them.

It didn't help that they rolled this out for March Madness and Mulvaney didn't even know what that was. It was as if the marketing executives at Budweiser decided to design an ad campaign to mock their core customers... because being out of touch moguls, they despise anyone who drinks their own products. I prefer to explore the nexus between cost and taste. Budweiser is only cheap enough to drink when someone else is buying. Right now I'm drinking Red Stripe.

Puberty blockers are not something to mess with and they are not always harmless. The Food and Drug Administration is warning of potential side effects in certain puberty-blocking drugs used in transgender treatments. The FDA has added a warning to the labeling for gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists such as Lupron. GnRH agonists have several uses. Developed to treat certain types of cancer, GnRH agonists are also used to treat endometriosis, delay early puberty, and halt or eliminate puberty for pediatric patients who identify as transgender. According to the Cleveland Clinic, GnRH agonists are also used to accomplish chemical castration, sometimes called medical castration. According to the FDA, the warning will only apply to the GnRH agonists used in pediatric patients to delay or stop puberty. The warning informs users of the possibility of developing something called a pseudotumor cerebri. According to Mayo Clinic, pseudotumor cerebri happens when there is increased pressure inside the skull “for no obvious reason.” Symptoms mimic those of a brain tumor. The increased intracranial pressure can cause swelling of the optic nerve and result in vision loss. Through a study of several patients prescribed GnRH agonists, the FDA determined there was “a plausible association between GnRH agonist use and pseudotumor cerebri.” Six cases were identified that supported a plausible association between GnRH agonist use and pseudotumor cerebri. All six cases were reported in females ages 5 to 12 years. Five were undergoing treatment for central precocious puberty and one for transgender care. FDA adds warning to puberty blockersIf you are giving blockers to five-year-old children, I do have an issue with that because it is stinking ridiculous and dangerous. www.fda.gov/media/159663/downloadIf 4 out of 5 of the very few examples of puberty blockers use in children are used for precocious puberty then it's disingenuous to claim all 5 are used to promote transgendering.

All of this hysteria over Bud Light...
Let's revisit this thread in a year and see how Bud Light is doing then. Because all the hysteria over Disney, Carhartt, and the dozens of companies TFG tried to cancel amounted to a hill of beans in the long run.
Bud Light may have overplayed their hand with this, but if you think it's going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things, I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.

If you like IPA that's awesome. Do you, pal. If you're a "I only drink Natty Light" guy -- and I know a few -- that's cool too. People should do what they want to do. Live the life they want to live. That's for beer drinkers as well as trans folks. We only get one go-round on this rock. Don't leave anything on the table. If only more people felt the same way.

I also love a good pilsner. Creature Comforts Bibo, Victory Prima Pils & Tired Hands does a very good one. We now have 4 breweries in our area. When you go to Union visit the Wine Collective. Very good Viognier. I love a good Cab Franc

I wonder if this will help. The problem that Bud Light has now is it isn't distinguishable from Coors Light and Miller Light. So why would anyone go back? Plus this statement is just nonsense. I mean, it's not really an apology to Bud Light drinkers. If they want to get their customers back, they need to be much more hat in hand. But they won't because they think "caving to the transpohobe crowd" will get them hammered by the left, which wouldn't ever drink their beer in the first place. I think they've really only got two options: 1) Go full anti-woke. Publicly can the dingus who came up with this idea, with a loud statement about how stupid they were to try to pander to people who will never drink their beer. Which they won't do because it's politically incorrect. 2) End the Bud Light brand and hope all the rednecks who drink Budweiser and Busch forget that all these beers are brewed by the same company.

Bud Light drinkers require an APOLOGY? Talk about snowflakes! AB puts an image on a beer can that exists only online and these morons are so distraught they need an apology? Why are people so insecure in their sexuality and gender roles? The beer I drink runs a promotion featuring various people taking photos of themselves w that beer, and I just can't handle it? Maybe I should grow the hell up and not pattern myself after the likes of Kid Rock. Bud Light will bounce back. Like the NFL. Like Adidas. Like M&Ms.
