That right there is the core of the problem with Dylan Mulvaney promoting Bud Light. YOU were the target audience for this. Younger. Diverse. And wouldn't ever touch Bud Light. Bud Light doesn't know what it is anymore. It's a cheap budget beer for people who want to get drunk more than they want to enjoy beer. Ie: frat boys and rednecks. If affluent woke people drink beer at all, it's going to be a locally-sourced, sustainable, micro-brew that they flaunt in front of former Bud Light drinkers. Nailed it. 100%. Also illustrates how out of touch many executives are. meh. I drink local IPA’s and lots of exotic beers. But if I am playing golf, heading to a summer festival, or hanging by the pool I will drink a light beer. I happen to choose Miller Lite but it’s basically the same thing. I bought a 12 of Bud Light yesterday for the weekend. Young people drink Bud Light and young people think this is a big joke. |

Bud Light is cheap? Talk about being out of touch. It’s not an expensive beer but it’s not cheap either. Cheap is Natty Light, also owned by AB InBev, and stuff like Old Milwaukee. Natty Boh used to be cheap now people realized they can charge more for it and people like me will still buy it.
Bud Light will be fine. Stop crapping yourselves over every silly story.

My college roommate did a marketing campaign for Milwaukee's best as part of a class assignment. The narration went: "We took a case of Milwaukee's Best and a case of Moosehead and put them both in the trunk of a 1979 Chevy Impala with a blown out suspension and drove them around Harrisbug for the entire month of July. When we opened the Moosehead it had lost 95% of its original flavor, but the Milwaukee's Best lost a mere 3% of its original flavor. Milwaukee's Best. It's as bad as it's gonna get!" Unfortunately Bud Light selected a worse marketing campaign. |

Looking at the man's profile with his beer gut as he was taken away, it appears he's not a lite beer drinker. That might explain the mistake, or maybe he's not good at reading. Also a possibility. How in hell can a media story about trans people endorsing an alcoholic beverage cause enough outrage resulting in this kind of behavior? I would have hoped against all hope this was a staged stunt for tweet and click purposes, but sadly I'm not too optimistic of such a thing being a hoax. Stupid.
