I do. Growing up we didn't have a lot of money and pizza was a delicacy. I have 7 siblings. When my father worked a little overtime he would buy some pizzas. One time when I was just a little kid he asked me what I wanted on it and I said "Anchovies". I didn't even know what an anchovie was. When we got home an my brothers opened up the box and saw what was on it they beat me up.

I bought an Uuni oven. Now the company goes by Ooni. Burns wood pellets, gets to 900 degrees. Pizza cooks in 60 seconds. I've been loving it. Make my own dough too.

I can do the same in my Big Green Egg.
I remember back in my formative years when I just started dating, pizza and a beer was a cheap date. I took my wife to Earth Wood and Fire the other night. She had a martini and I had a couple of beers with a pizza and a salad and it was something like $70! Now it's all about "craft" beer and "artisinal" pizza....

I like traditional garbage pizza's up to and including anchovies. Pineapple does NOT belong on pizza.

I had to look that one up, never heard of a Long John Silver Combo ... But I have to tell you, any fish 'n chip restaurant or shop wouldn't last 5 seconds if it used "white fish" , It has to be Cod, Rock Salmon, Huss Haddock or for the rich or posh Skate or Plaice.

Here's some pizzas I made recently. First one has pesto, salami, cherry tomato slices and mozzarella cheese on it. Second is a tomato sauce, pepperoni with jalapeno and a spicy honey drizzled over it when it comes out of the oven. I call it "The Hot Hon." I made one last night with a pesto sauce, cherry tomato slices, chicken and smoked monterrey jack cheese. Unfortunately I didnt take any pics. It was really good. I make my own dough. Right now I have a good same day recipe I've been using but I made a second batch yesterday that I am letting slow rise in the fridge for a few days. Hoping the slow rise allows me to get the leopard spots you see on Neapolitan pizzas. 900 degree ovens are the key. I have an Ooni 3 oven. I'll post the recipe for dough in the recipe forum.

Made pizza again last night. I stuck three pizza-size dough balls in the fridge to slow rise for two nights. The slow-rise method adds depth of flavor and texture to the dough. I've long tried to duplicate the kind of crust you can get at a Neapolitan pizza restaurant with leopard-spotting on the crust. I got as close as I could have with this method. Take a look...

I did make a major decision about pizza. I've tried many times to eat the cauliflower crust pizza. I've made it myself, I've bought a few different brands. It is awful. When I want pizza I am going to eat pizza - carbs and all! Just far less often. The frozen ones from Costco are pretty good. And I was previously anti-cauliflower crust.

Making a bunch tomorrow. Going to try some new ones like Green Eggs and Ham which will be a pesto sauce with prosciutto, mozzarella and an egg in the middle. Also going to make a seafood pizza with crab, shrimp scallop with an Old Bay white sauce. I’ll post pics.

Good. My dough recipe and technique has been very consistent. Good light but crackle crust. Seafood pizza was really good and the eggs and ham one kinda disappointed because the egg cooked entirely. I was hoping for a runny yoke.
I’ll post some more pictures tomorrow when I am on my computer.

I was hoping for a runny yoke. I’ll post some more pictures tomorrow when I am on my computer. Great! The first time I had an egg on a pizza was in Rome. I was a little surprised but it was good. And, you're right, it was runny. Of course, there were also microgreens on it as well. And, like yours crackly - but thin. Really nothing like our pizza. lol It's really crazy how the food they make in Europe tastes nothing like the food we have here. It's just so much better over there no matter what it is. When we went to Italy in 2007 it was a life changing experience in so many ways, chief among them pizza. I had a pizza in Positano and after taking one bite I was like "I've never had a pizza that good and that is how I want every pizza to taste from now on". After having some legit DOP pies in NYC a few years later I have made it my mission to recreate DOP-style pizza at home and 14 years later I think I've gotten within the ballpark. Here are two of the pies I made...one seafood and the other a margherita with a ton of basil. And if you're even half-way serious about making pizza at home I can't recommend a portable pizza oven enough. You may pay a few hundred dollars for one but it's the best money I've ever spent. Especially while being stuck at home.
