How's your son doing pink?? He’s good. Still on the nighttime IV of nutrients. He does that himself. But he feels good and yesterday he drove to get a haircut! He has an appt on Wed with the GI at UofMD. I just want him to gain some weight back...but that will happen eventually 👍

I will add your son to my parish's prayer list as well, along with Rael's son. Hang in there, Pink. Let your son know a bunch of strangers are pulling for him.

He’s been transferred downtown. Very hard to get a hosp-hosp transfer if you’re in a room. So...they kept him in the ER and did an ER-ER transfer. 👍 Should be in an ICU room tomorrow. Just got home at 3am, but we left feeling like a weight has been lifted. State of the art hospital and top notch team. He is in a lot of pain but on plenty of morphine and a blood thinner that (hopefully) won’t cause bleeding. It’s a delicate balance. Thank you all for the continuing prayers. (I did tell him)
I’m exhausted, but wide awake.

As soon as he’s completely stabilized and the meds are at correct levels, and he’s ready...some of the colon is coming out. Probably a week or so. We were hoping for sooner, but he has to be physically strong enough. It’s all good. 👍

We’ve got everything covered...visits, off-days to rest, and all that. We’re good 👍 You’re so nice 😊 The GI surgeon’s saying is “Save the man, not the colon.”

Surgery scheduled for Thurs 24th. Seems so far, I hope he doesn’t go nuts by then. He’s so tired of being poked and scanned. A weird thing this afternoon - his stomach started to twitch, we could see it happening. Turns out his electrolytes were out of balance. I hope I can still form complete sentences by next week.

I know it's easy for me to say but it's 8 days away. I'm sure it feels like a lifetime however, compared to the amount of time he has been suffering it will be here sooner than later. I hope time flies for all of you. That is also my oldest sons birthday... that gives me a good vibe. Stay strong!!

I know it’s only a week, but he’s not eating any food except for ice chips and maybe a pudding or couple crackers per day. They won’t let him put anything of substance thru his colon because of the stricture. As his mom, it’s just hard to watch.

My youngest son had 18" of his large intestine removed when he was 3 years old, being strong for him was so hard. It seemed as if they were torturing him but I knew it was for him.
