Well, it snowed in Western MD, WVA, last night. Yup. In May. It felt like it could have snowed here. Crazy. Today is in the low 40s. I just need it to warm up some by Monday. I am hosting a golf tournament in Ocean City.

Well, it snowed in Western MD, WVA, last night. Yup. In May. It seems to be happening some the past few years. Get an early Spring warm-up and then it cools down. Hope the cool down leads to a gradual warm weather trend, like low to mid 70's and not jump to mid 80's.

Spring is definitely asleep at the switch! By May, I should not need to wear multiple layers to go out and exercise.

Cut mine today. Got the cold fingers I usually get when I am out in cold weather doing long tasks like that. In May.

After tearing the engine on my boat apart this spring and putting it back together, I finally got on it Saturday. Just in time for the 45 degree temps and strong winds. Me without a jacket and wearing shorts too. Trying to grill a steak and having a hell of time with the cold temps and wind. Retreated to the cabin and turned the heat on. In June. JUNE!
C'mon man.

While it was 90 degrees at home my wife & I were in OC for the weekend. Friday was nice, 75 degrees, then Saturday rolled in with 20-30 mph winds and cold air. We stayed inside after 5 pm because I didn't pack long pants and both of us had thin sweat shirts. Yesterday was much better but we were headed home.

Sounds like you had a bad case of PPPPPP; “Prior Planning Prevents Pxss Poor Performance” ― U.S. Army. 😉😄 And I am messing with you ..... don't take it as a personal attack PLEASE! I would suggest that you take a look at this link and consider purchasing a convertible pants. I ALWAYS pack at least one when going to the shore or to the MD panhandle. www.amazon.com/s?k=pants+that+zip+off+into+shorts&hvadid=399527585641&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9007898&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=8173739454901609511&hvtargid=kwd-298289716051&hydadcr=7442_9611317&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_54lfjt6oh0_eI also always pack one of those uber light thin winter undergarments .... sometimes known as thermals... that you wear (supposedly) when shoveling the snow. They take like zip space in packing. Put on a t shirt. Put one of those over top. Put even a thin sweatshirt overtop and you are warm as toast. At least that has been my experience over my outdoor years.

I wear custom knit compression stockings that keep my legs warm with long pants. Ahhhh.... that doesn't sound good. I used to be able to walk around barefoot the entire year. Yeah even the snow. A decade or so goes by and I only walk around barefoot during warm weather. As it cools, so go on the ankle socks. I have a drawer full of "winter comfort socks" I may have used each twice. Are we talking year around here? To stay warm? Yikes

Maybe I am confussing you with someone else, but was it a motor cycle incident?

Has to be one of the chilliest Junes I can remember. On the plus side, I'm still catching trout on my lunch breaks, usually they are long gone by now. On the negative side, they've been very large ones and when they get big their teeth get very long and sharp, so I keep losing lures.

This year is almost 40 years since I've moved to Maryland. I cannot recall a stretch of weather from mid April to mid June that has been this pleasant and comfortable in all that time. I'm sure the summer will soon roar in, but I'm enjoying these pleasant evenings outdoors. Well, other than my allergies of course.

Like you I cannot remember such a pleasant run up to summer since moving here in the 83. By now, we would already been into the 80f^+/80h^+, switch being flipped and would have already put in the window AC's. Of course I just cursed us. The flying fickled finger of fate is likely now poised over the switch. 😉😄

I agree, the weather has been great, however, we are in desperate need of rain. It is too early to be in drought conditions. Our river is low, our pond looks awful and our grass is brown and crunchy.
These cool nights are not help warm up our pool either. Our pool water is still at 76 degrees. A bit chilly.

The weather has been strange lately. Much too cool for mid-June. I had to wear long sleeves this morning outside!
I certainly hope this isn't a preview of some kind of bitterly cold winter, because I don't need that. If it never snows for the rest of my life I'd be fine with that.

Well, we are transitioning to El Nino, so a bitter cold Winter is pretty likely.

Well, about 25% of the way through winter and it hasn't been too bad so far. Some bitter cold predicted for a week or so from now, though. Don't need it. At least I can be grateful all that recent rain rolled through temperatures above freezing so it didn't (much) turn to the most hated form of weather for me: frozen precipitation!

I think the artic chill is scheduled for Sunday/Monday, and the potential for a slobbernocker storm on Tuesday. Looks cold for an extended period too Sorry man But hey, could be worse. You could be the Miami Dolphins playing in KC at 0 deg kickoff temps

For better or worse we don't get snowstorms anymore.
