How the hell does a conversation about a bridge collapse divert into a conversation about Biden and Trump and who lies the most?
Back to topic.
I don't understand why NTSB is saying this could take 12 - 24 months to figure out.

No it doesn't. Republicans are seeking to close the border and stop ALL immigration through the southern border, legal or otherwise. They also want to crack down significantly on asylum process which is a legal process. Fox News was disgusting to attempt to connect this incident to the border. It's a big reason why so many people don't take them, and republicans, seriously. Please provide some proof that Republicans are seeking to close the border and stop ALL immigration through the southern border, legal or otherwise. As to so many people not taking Fox News seriously.... I don't think so. Is the House Speaker enough proof for you? House Speaker Wants US 'Border Closed' Before Passing Ukraine, Israel Aid www.voanews.com/a/house-republicans-visit-us-mexico-border-as-ukraine-aid-hangs-in-balance/7425478.htmlRepublicans seek drastic asylum limits www.cbsnews.com/news/senate-republicans-asylum-limits-funding-bill/Like I said, they're against immigration through southern border, period. Yeah sure a lot of people watch Fox News. A lot of people eat at Applebees too. The rest of us don't take Fox News or you Fox News-aholics seriously because of examples like this, seeking to tie the bridge collapse to the border. And I can never take seriously someone who whines about bias in media and then watches hours of Fox News daily. Talk about some cognitive dissonance.

It's going to be interesting to see how traffic is in and around the city today for opening day with the bridge being gone.

You should have read beyond the headline of the 1st link you posted. "But Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, told The Associated Press during the border tour that he was holding firmly to the policies of a bill passed by House Republicans in May without a single Democratic vote. It would build more of the border wall and impose new restrictions on asylum-seekers. Democrats called the legislation "cruel" and "anti-immigrant," and Biden promised a veto."And it appears you didn't even read the headline in the 2nd link you posted. "Senate Republicans seek drastic asylum limits in emergency funding package."So let me ask you this, if the border is closed why would there be any need for "new restrictions on asylum-seekers" or "drastic asylum limits"?
And you have no proof whatsoever that I have ever sought to tie the bridge collapse to the border. It's another case of where when you're stuck for something to say you make things up.
And Fox admits that some of their programs, e.g. Ingraham, Watters & Hannity are biased in favor of the (R)s. CNN, MSNBC, et al never admit that any of their programs are biased.

Very dishonest posting, vosa. Keep squirming. Very dishonest posting, Cameron. Keep dodging. The truth is that you're trying to slither down another rabbit hole of inconsequentualities. Truth: “The Alabama Supreme Court shut down IVF treatments across the state, unleashed by a Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.” Fact: Alabama lawmakers rush to restore IVF services after court ruling www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/alabama-lawmakers-rush-to-restore-ivf-services-after-court-rulingIf you find the plain, ordinary meanings of everyday English words to be a challenge, I'm happy to help.

Afraid to answer the question? Keep dodging. Why does every conversation with you deteriorate into a semantics argument or some kind of gotcha game? Why can't you have a normal conversation? And before you respond, know that many more people than just me feel this way, including the guy who runs this site. People make statements which they claim to be facts I expect them to be able to back them up. So do you. (See border closing discussion above). The difference is that according to you when you do it it's legitimate debate and when I do it it's a semantic argument or some kind of gotcha game.
And thems that can back up their statements don't get got.

You initially said that it depends on whether the immigrants were legal or not. Republicans are seeking to limit legal immigration. So no, it doesn't matter.

That does seem like a long time... except they're going to have to untangle the Dali from the bridge, and that may be a delicate slow operation. And that will take some time of course, but the data recorder has everything they need in that area, except for a few seconds when it stopped recording with a loss of power - and they an audio recording of that period of time. They can test the fuel right now and should have that answer in a few hours and certainly, no longer than a few days. Maintenance records will have to be checked and that will take some time. I guess I just don't see an NTSB predicted year, at a minimum, to figure this out.

You could write a report saying "Water is wet" and everyone from you immediate supervisor right up through the ranks to the head of the agency you work for will have to read and sign off on the report before it is published.
With that in mind you can see how a report on something of this magnitude could take a year. Maybe more.

What is it you want proof of? Simply saying that someone lied is a conclusion, unsupported by any facts. It's only one sentence. “The Alabama Supreme Court shut down IVF treatments across the state, unleashed by a Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.” If you can't grasp it, my offer to help still stands.
