I'd love to make that week 18 game in Cincy meaningless. Going to need the Bengals to lose twice, though. They have a pretty tough schedule but they are beating down all comers. TB is up next...Cincy should handle them easily. Brady is finished.
I think Dallas goes on the road WC weekend and loses...to Tampa? Carolina? Who the hell is going to win that division?
I saw that hit on Mike White. YIKES! I was surprised he came back in.
Niners are solid. Jimmy G is nothing special so Purdy could conceivably be as good or better. All they need is a game manager with their run game and defense anyway.
Lions look good. Their defense is awful but they can score points at will.
I think the league may have figured Tua out. Take away the middle of the field, limit Hill, and he'll complete 38 percent of his passes like he did last night.

Going to need the Bengals to lose twice, though. Actually they don't. If they finish with the same record, the Ravens will have the division record tie breaker over them. (assuming the Ravens either beat Cleveland or Pitt). So just need the Bengals to lose one to be assured, and win 3 winnable games.

Looking more closely at the playoff picture:
It's safe to say that in the AFC most of the 5-8 teams, though not mathematically eliminated, are. The only one with a puncher's chance is Jacksonville, who has a slight chance to win the division. Tennessee is in free fall and feeling the loss of AJ Brown big time.
I'm pretty confident the Patriots are just about done as well. I think the Chargers are going to get in due to their schedule down the stretch - and they are probably the dark horse that people should really be worried about. I think if they get healthy that they have a decent shot at beating anyone. Herbert last night was incredible and has had a very good year.
The more interesting issue will be whether the Dolphins or Jets get in. That's really the only one that I think somebody who is currently in could be out, and current out could be in. It very well may come down to the final game between them.
The other one to watch of course is the AFCN division winner. The Bengals and Ravens could flip between the 3 and 5 seeds depending on what happens in the final game. The Bengals just might be the class of the AFC, especially after seeing KC struggle in the second half against Denver and nearly blow a 27-0 lead. However, the Bengals are hurting now, losing Boyd and Higgins, for who knows how long. Mixon back? The Ravens haven't been at full strength since early in the season. When they are, I think they are one of the best teams in the league, and the metrics show that. They should be undefeated if not for four epic collapses on defense (though the Buffalo game you could say the offense contributed to that as well). They may be starting Anthony Brown on Saturday in what is a key divisional game for them. The good news is that the Browns look like they've mailed it in (though they surely will still get "up" for the Ravens as usual). Win this one, and they are more likely in control of the division with two very winnable games against Pittsburgh and Atlanta, and presumably having Jackson back. Word is they are looking at the Atlanta game as his return. If they do, and the Bengals don't run the table, they can rest their players a bit in the final game.
The NFC is interesting too. Huge game between the Commies and Giants. Winner of that is probably looking in, loser is assuredly done. Watch out for the Lions, they are rolling right now. The Seahawks have come back to earth, and nobody from the south is getting in as a WC. However, it's really sad to think that Carolina actually has a decent shot of winning that division, in fact, I'd put my money on them right now.
The Eagles and Niners, and perhaps Cowboys seem to be the ones to call contenders. Overall, the conference is rather weak compared to the AFC - but all three of those teams can cause issues with their defenses. I don't know, but I've got a feeling about the Niners right now. Maybe it's the glaze from the shellacking they gave Tampa. I don't know why, but I still don't trust the Eagles. Yes, they demolished the Titans - but the Titans have been awful lately.

Cardinals seem to get worse the longer Kingsbury is their coach. And now Murray likely has a torn ACL.

Cardinals seem to get worse the longer Kingsbury is their coach. And now Murray likely has a torn ACL. Non-contact injury, too. He'll be out a year. Problem for the Cards is they have their GM, HC and QB all signed through at least 2027. With $190M for Murray guaranteed. I'm sure that gives Biscotti confidence to give Lamar an even bigger deal.

Man, the Niners look legit. That defense is game wrecking and scary as hell. But what really perked up my hackles was Brock Purdy. They got something there. The way he is in the pocket, and the quick release, pinpoint throws, dang. Jimmy and Trey who? Sheeeit. Like really...sheeeit.

They are kinda pitiable this year, or I'd be happier to see this. As it is, they're likely to be battling Cleveland for last place in the division.

Looks like the Jets are done. And this time Zach Wilson lost his job to someone from the practice squad.

Bengals lose La'el Collins, their top O lineman, to a destroyed knee suffered in the Patriots game. ACL and MCL both. Likely won't be back until partway through next year's campaign.

Did the NFL pay off Tua and Carr to keep Rodgers and the Steelers alive?

Did the NFL pay off Tua and Carr to keep Rodgers and the Steelers alive? Well, it IS in bed with the gambling businesses, and those are (probably) in bed with organized crime...

Did the NFL pay off Tua and Carr to keep Rodgers and the Steelers alive? No kidding, those looked like they almost HAD to be intentional! Though not as bad as the Bucs blowing the Bengals game with a sequence of errors I don't think I've ever witnessed in all my years of watching football. My dark horse is the Chargers. This team feels like they are getting healthy at the right time, and it's just a matter of time before they really put it all together. They have a lot of weapons on both sides. The Ravens "could" be like that, when Lamar returns. I'm no longer sold on the Bengals. That's two straight games where they were more lucky than good, and they started to resemble the team they were earlier in the season. I truly hate that the Steelers are still "alive" technically. Another week of the Riff Raff chortling. I truly despise that fanbase with a passion. However, Slim and None are their chances, and Slim is about ready to leave the building. I absolutely hope the Ravens stomp the crap out of them Sunday night. The Steelers can't stop the run, so Lamar or not, I'd expect the Ravens to run over top of them, but this time they're going to get TD's, not FG's. Just a hunch. The Chiefs to me don't look nearly as good as years past. Too many turnovers, no Tyreek Hill. Kind of a watered down version. The Dolphins are in free fall. They'll probably get in though. Titans also in free fall, and now it's probably coming down to them vs the Jags in the season finale. They look done. Niners are a wrecking machine. I think they're better than the Eagles or Cowboys.

He can hold his head up high that in his last season he was still better than the QB the Jets wasted a #2 pick on.

I doubt he retires. He has like 6 kids. I agree. Likely he'll collect a nice, if not staggering, paycheck for holding a clipboard and standing on the sidelines somewhere. As long as someone is willing to sign him, he'll likely be willing to play. Hey, maybe he can back up next year's Ravens starter, Huntley!

This has to be first time ever that both Pittsburgh and NE missed playoffs, right? In the last two decades, probably so. I tell you, nothing was more satisfying than seeing the Dolphins beat the Jets and knock the Steelers out. Man that was nice Now all the Riff-Raff can STFU and shove their piss-towels up their petards.

BTW, the Niners look monstrous right now. In the AFC, I am leaning towards the Chiefs, but each team is flawed and could lay an egg quite easily.

It's between KC, BUF and CIN in AFC and SF and PHI in NFC. I am selling stock in Dallas right now. I think they're soft and if they make it out of TB they'll lose in second round.

Cowboys won easily, but the kicker missed 4 XPs! Not exactly what you want in the playoffs.
And Brady needs to just retire.

He should but I think he goes to Miami or back to NE for one more year.
He tanked his family and marriage by coming back this year...I think he'll want to justify that for one more year.

KC should coast by Jags, but as long as Jacksonville can avoid the TOs they had against LAC they could make it competitive.
I think and I really hope Cincy loses to Buffalo. Cincy is quickly becoming worse than Pittsburgh.
Dallas/SF should be a good game.
