Bills were mid-season form last night. Steamrolled the defending NFL Champs in their own house. They look legit. Sucks I'll be in Spain when they come to Baltimore.

Yeah gotta say, the Bills look the part right now. Long season though, and injuries could change things - see exhibit A, 2021 Ravens.

I was glad to see the Bills look so good at the beginning of the season. Most teams cannot be that god over 21 games. I'd rather they be great now and be hitting the wall when crunch time comes.

A nice win. At times it seemed like the defense was struggling but it held when it needed to. Very nice connection between Lamar and various men, particularly the one with Bateman. Bad news, could be two men with injuries. They particularly did not need the cheap shot push off in garbage time that might have cost a man his knee.

Ja'Wuan James tore his Achilles tendon completely off the bone. He is done for the season, and possibly with football; that is a bad, bad injury.

Hopefully Stanley will be back soon but that is like waiting for Godot.
Took a while for the offense to get going but it did eventually. Hopefully this team gets better as the season progresses and people start getting healthy like Peters and our RBs.

Ravens looked like a team that hadn't played much in the preseason for about a quarter and a half. Then they reminded people why they are a contender.
Interesting weekend in the NFL for sure.

Next year they might want to put the offense on the field for some series in preseason like in the "old" days. Against a good team, they might not have that luxury to figure things out.
And I wish Joe would retire. Slumming with the teams like the Jets and getting beat up is sad.

He's still a decent backup. He played well when he got into games the last couple of years. We did make him look awful though and he doesn't have a whole lot of talent around him. Receivers were dropping passes too.

Two plus years off is an eternity in football.

He gets paid a few million dollars to have a front row seat to a football game every week. You and I would pay thousands of dollars for front row seats, a gym membership, and a personal trainer. He gets all that and gets paid millions for the privilege.

Flacco has said repeatedly he just likes being around the game.
Honestly looks like the guy can still play, he was under severe duress the entire game, but pulled some pretty nifty escape acts and nice throws after looking a bit rusty at the start. Too bad the team around him is such garbage.

Well, Flacco seems to still have some juice - I guess those chants for Mike White will quiet down. I wonder if they win the next game, if that affects how quick they bring Zach Wilson back? The Bills demolished the Titans. Titans are one dimensional, and look like a bottom feeder now. Losing AJ Brown in the offseason was crucially bad. Last night the Steelers stunk...bad. Their defense is anemic without Watt, and their offense is horrendous. I don't know what to make of the Bengals. They are making last year look like an aberration. Of course I'm sure Burrow will be just fine when they play the Ravens

Jags whooped the Chargers showing that Jacksonville may have finally turned things around, the Chargers are overrated or both.

Last week, Tua Tagovailoa left the field for a concussion evaluation and returned, cleared, later that game. Thursday he was removed from the field on a stretcher after taking another hit - almost certainly suffering from second impact syndrome. Now, the league has fired the independent neurologist who cleared him, citing 'several mistakes'. Everyone understands those doctors have been told that fans do not want to see backups and they are to clear players. Right up until it goes wrong... #doingsomeoneelsespenance

Watched a lot of games this weekend.
The Eagles are good. Very good. So are the Cowboys. Actually, I think the Cowboys might be the best team in the NFC. The Steelers are hot trash. Awful team on both sides of the ball. Will Tomlin survive the season? Probably - even though he hasn't won a thing since Cowher's players have gone.
The Bills are insanely good. Best team in the NFL. The Packers are really sad to watch. They simply have no receivers for Rodgers to throw to.
WTF is with the Raiders?? To get blanked by a bad Saints team? Yikes.
The Rams have a Superbowl hangover. They don't look like a playoff team.
Vikings? Damn, they just sorta snuck up on everyone. Happy for Cousins.
Redskins are a scrappy bunch. Kudos to Rivera, he's not working with much, but they fight hard.
I saw that Joe Flacco was inactive for the game, a coaches decision. That's a little strange...

I think Rodgers is a clown so the Packers demise is pretty hilarious.
As for the Raiders, before the season the "analysts" were saying the AFC West might send all 4 teams to the playoffs and the Chiefs might be the 4th best team since the others made big FA splashes. Well the Raiders and Broncos are garbage, the Chargers are their usual inconsistent selves and the Chiefs keep rolling. Really seeming like McDaniels might be best when BB runs the team and he simply runs the offense.

Not sure what happened with Flacco - but he's 3rd on the depth chart apparently. Man he just needs to retire already. This makes me sad.
Some other thoughts...
Jets and Giants came back to reality.
Did anyone think the Falcons would be in 1st place midway though the season? Also, how incredibly selfish, and stupid was the Panthers receiver who scored the last second TD who ripped his helmet off to celebrate and cost them the winning PAT? My wife was like "the idiot just wanted everyone to see his face".
Ivan, I agree about the AFC West, and the Chargers are definitely a big disappointment thus far. KC is flawed, but getting better, and their defense has been pretty good.
Tonight's game will have a huge impact on the AFCN. It's probably a must win for the Bengals to keep division hopes alive given the easy schedule the Ravens have (though in total form they'll likely screw it up and lose to the Saints). The Browns are on life support, lose tonight, it's definitely over for them.

Flacco is best QB on the Jets roster so it is weird for him to be deactivated. Agreed. Rumors are he's going to be traded - so that now makes a little sense. Especially given we're talking about the Jets - who at 5-3 actually have a little hope - and would probably be a better team with Flacco starting, or Mike White for that matter, as Zach Wilson is looking more like a typical Jet's drafted QB by the week.
